Making Sense of Israel's 5th Election in 3-1/2 Years: A Conversation with Professor Reuven Hazan, Chair in Israeli Democracy & Politics, Political Science Department, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

On November 1, 2022 Israelis will vote in their 5th election in only 3-1/2 years. One week prior to that election, you'll have the chance to learn all about it from renowned Israeli political scientist, Professor Reuven Hazan. We'll explore answers to questions like: How does Israel's parliamentary system of democracy work compared to the US presidential system? What does it mean to "form a government" and why do they keep collapsing? Who are the various political parties at play, and what do the polls tell us about the possible outcome(s)? Grab your lunch, open your screen, and join the JCRC for the first in our Lunch & Learn series exploring Israeli politics, history, and society on WEDNESDAY, OCT. 26 @ Noon. You'll impress your family and friends with your newfound understanding of Israeli politics, just in time for their election...and ours!
