Brandeis to Ginsburg and Womens Rights

Fridays 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM Starting August 9 (Eight Weeks)

There is a remarkable trail - from Justice Louis D. Brandeis to Ruth Bader Ginsburg - which pursued the rights of women in the United States. How was their fame and success impacted by their Jewish upbringing and values? What has changed since the beginning of the 20th Century that is directly attributed to their legal positions as members of SCOTUS. Look at how far we have come! In the Torah is states: Justice, justice you shall pursue (Deuteronomy 16:20). One of the most exemplary implementations of the injunction is the legal legacy left by Brandeis and Ginsburg. You're invited to join in the study of these two legal minds and their achievements. Instructor: Marden Paru; fee $70.
