Club Fed Holocaust Awareness Lecture Series

As a young man in Vienna, Adolph Hitler was exposed to the anti-Semitic, populist and opportunistic policies of politicians like Karl Lueger, the mayor of Vienna. To Lueger, the role of the Jew was that of a political pawn, an expedient target. The hatred of the Jews served as the rallying point around which the numerous and diverse minorities in the declining Austro-Hungarian Empire would then unite.
This lecture will reveal that these were the ideological beginnings and the model for what was later to become the obsessive genocidal program implemented by Hitler and the Nazis in occupied Europe.
