The twelve "minor" prophets of the Bible are "minor" only with respect to the length of their writings. Their prophecies nonetheless form a significant part of Jewish liturgy. Most well-known of these prophets is Jonah, who at first defied G-d but learned through his own personal experiences G-d's attributes of mercy, patience, and love. The other prophets include Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
